Wendy Lee joins the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) as an Education and Research Associate, where she will research emerging surveillance technologies and programs for the Fourth Amendment Center. As a member of the national affairs team, Wendy is responsible for editing reports and educational pieces, maintaining member resources, building relationships with key legal partners, and providing administrative support to the NACDL’s Sr. Privacy and National Security Counsel.

Wendy received her B.A. from the University of Chicago, where she wrote her senior thesis on parental leave legislation and access to workplace flexibility in the United States. At UChicago, Wendy co-founded a youth mentorship program, edited the campus newspaper, and participated in a year of public leadership training at the Institute of Politics. In addition to her internships at the Invisible Institute, the U.S. Department of Interior, and the Urban Education Institute, Wendy pursued investigative projects on racial justice, Asian-American activism, and the University’s implementation of Title IX.
